Abstract
This interview with Mark Rodda chronicles his experiences at Roseworthy Agricultural College (1993–1995), where he studied the inaugural Agricultural Business degree. He was originally from a family farm on Yorke Peninsula. As a student he served as a senior resident and joint college senior, worked at the campus tavern, and reflects on campus culture, facilities, social life, and challenges like a mouse plague. He describes a theory-heavy curriculum, mixed-gender residential life, student governance, and traditions such as O-Week, the Troopers B&S ball, and rigorous community roles, while noting changes to the campus and course structures over time.
Post-graduation, Mark joined Elders via a national cadetship, rose to General Manager of Wool, later led initiatives with EP’s FREE Eyre including the Port Spencer project, and advised agtech start-ups. He has been active with Roseworthy Old Collegians and the University of Adelaide Alumni Council advocating for Roseworthy/Waite representation.
